“Homegrown” Exhibition – Salisbury Arts Centre – “Worth Fighting For”

Salisbury Arts Centre is open TODAY – Monday – for the opening of the annual “Homegrown” Exhibition.  Courses run at the Arts Centre work towards a theme, this year “Worth Fighting For” and create works of art for display in the main foyer area.

“Felting with Suzie Gutteridge” is of course exhibiting:

Homegrown Worth Fighting For

This piece shows the groups “felted wall”.  Our theme was linked to the Magna Carta and Worth Fighting For – participants thought about and chose a word relevant and important to them as an individual – words that still form strong foundations for us all today.

The second piece of work exhibited was created from one particular word chosen by the group from the “felted wall”  – Country

Homegrown - Country

If you want to come and find out more about how the group created these pieces of work, come and join the course – “Felting with Suzie Gutteridge” A fun and friendly 10 week course which runs at Salisbury Arts Centre on Monday evenings 7-9pm.  The next course begins in September!
