STEP IN STONE WORKSHOP: ‘WET FELTING’ LED BY SUZIE GUTTERIDGE
Participants will have the experience of working with wool and stones. These two materials relate to a long historical association with the Mendip area. During the workshop, the traditional process of welt felting (using wool, soap and water) will be explained and demonstrated. The resulting felted objects of differing shapes and sizes can then be taken home.
Held at BSA, there will be an opportunity to explore the centre and our exhibition there.
Cost: £10 per half day (1 child free per adult), additional child (6-15 yrs) £6, children 5 and under free
Places on workshops will be limited, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
It would be beneficial for those doing a workshop to visit the Trail beforehand. All workshop leaders are experienced educators and regularly work in schools and/or the community.
