March “marched” along at a rapid pace!
Here are some photographs of two very different workshops I have been too recently:
Jeanette Appleton – an amazing world famous textile artist:
Fun on the Farm with raw wool:
Workshops at 21a:
Fun making Blue tits and foxes in the same workshop!!
Next workshop: Nuno Scarfs on Friday 15 April 10-1pm £30 + materials.
“Felting with Suzie Gutteridge” at Salisbury Arts Centre:
A great course completed with beautiful pieces achieved.
Here are a couple of comments from students:
“I got so much more out of felting than I expected. The possibilities are endless.”
“Monday evenings with Suzie have been great fun and a completely new experience for me. I only have the use of one arm and so wasn’t sure I would be able to cope, but Suzie helped me get going and now I can manage on my own. My spare bedroom is now full of wool and felt and I’m planning all sorts of new projects. Suzie took us through all the basic techniques and we could practice them at home easily. My family laughed at my early efforts, but now people keep asking me to make things for them. She is such a friendly and encouraging teacher and a pleasure to spend time with her.”
That’s just the felting – previous blogs have highlighted goings on at Salisbury Museum too!!
